GRIER PAGE . . . WHERE ARE YOU 'GRUB' ??? REMEMBER THE DAY YOU FUCKED THE FRONT ROTOR ASSEMBLY ON A CUSTOMER'S 1986 BIMOTA db1 ????
I MOST CERTAINLY DO, LESSON LEARNT THE EXPENSIVE, HARD WAY ABOUT CORRECT ORDER OF DOING UP THE PINCH BOLTS . . . .
THE INCORRECT PROCEDURE LEADS TO NEAR CATASTROPHIC FAILURE AS THE CALIPER TAKES GREAT GRAUNCHES OUT OF ALL THE 'TOP HAT' RETAINERS BETWEEN DISC CENTRE AND ROTOR . . . . OUCH !!!!! STUPID BOY !!!!
I got to ride the petit little 750 on the post destruction/rebuild test run, gorgeous wee rocket for the day, only drama was that it was clearly produced with midget pigmy dwarves in mind and being a solid lad of 6'1" it was never going to fit like a thumb in the bum . . . however, completely enclosed fairing, compact, great handling yada yada yada and, of course, the attendant stratospheric price !!!
Anyhoo, here's a great shot of the thing and a comprehensive write-up on one of the best sports bikes of the eighties . . . the Bimota db1 . . . . . la piccolo bellissimo !!!
Thanks to "Motorcyclespecs" for the entire shebang, tidy work guys, cheers.
