EVEN THE FAT BLOCK GT40's THAT RULED THE ROOST UNTIL, TYPICALLY, BEING BANNED, NEVER CAME CLOSE TO WHAT THIS BARELY DRIVEABLE DEATHTRAP DELIVERED IN TERMS OF INSANE POWER . . . EVERY OTHER CAR LOOKED CIVILIZED WHEN COMPARED TO THIS RECORD SMASHING MANEATER . . .
The stories behind its ongoing development, both motor and body/chassis set up, are legend, as are the tales from numerous [arguably mentally defective, elephant testicled] drivers who attempted to pilot this ground bound thermonuclear device regarding its "twitchy", verging on psychotic, behavioural characteristics . . . .
All of that shit aside, my fave AF/X car when I was a twelve year old was the 917, I used to lie as close and as low to the track as possible and watch that tiny fucker rocket around the track while playing make believe it was the real McFerdi and I was doing the driving . . . the innocence of youth, if only I knew the reality . . . .
