Prior to that, as a young'n, speedway was the only roundy round gig I really knew of down here in the Antipodes, a la Great Britain, Europe, Un Zud et al, however, by the time my little ten year old legs walked me out of the cinema that day after having seen Bruce Brown's magnum opus on two wheels, I was hooked . . . . how the fuck could you not be ????

Dirty great Seppo vee twins and Pommy parallel twins going hell for leather in dirt circles, no brakes, steel strap on, one footed dance pumps, spending more time sideways than upright and with stacks of super tight, elbow to elbow racing, immaculate, micro-second throttle control . . . . if you reckon you're into bikes and you don't get a serious boner watching this caper . . . . you're not really 'that into it' after all I figure . . . .
