THE THING THAT REALLY GETS ME WITH THIS AWESOME SCOOT IS HOW CLOSE MANY CONTEMPORARY STREET TRACKER/BOBBER HYBRIDS PARALLEL THIS BRILLIANT JIGGER IN STYLE . . . . BARE BONES MINIMALISM, FRAME, BARS, TANK, BOX AND MOTOR, COUPLE OF ROLLIN THINGS AND YOU'RE OFF . . . .
Make no bones about it, this thing was light years ahead of everything else at the time, pushing the envelope from all directions, head design, porting, valve operation . . . . the whole box and dice, the basic concept was refined and advanced over the next decade but the basic platform remained the same . . . . one hell of a decent bike that was purpose built for the great TT circuits of the time, Ulster and I.O.M being chief among them . . . .
Get a squiz at the footage from "1962Vp" with some nice close ups of the donk and some fucking wicked on road stuff . . . . dig the bloody note this delightful old girl puts out . . . . he sure as shit ain't dawdling either . . . . as they used to say, "Don't trudge it . . . Rudge it !!!"
**** Seriously recommend having a cruise through Tim's "LOVELESS" Engineering blog, bikes of all persuasions, excellent hand fab work, random shots of beautiful country and an everchanging, esoteric and informed musical element, all linked with great yarns and tales to tie it all in . . . . love your work me old cock . . . . get that fucking motor sorted before I send the lads around !!!!
