"HISTORY OF THE CHOPPER" OR "RICH HISTORY FROM THE HOUSE OF SHAMROCK" . . . . SOME REALLY COOL BACKGROUND INFO STRAIGHT FROM THE IRISHMAN'S MOUTH [AT LEAST EMAIL] . . . . HOW DO YOU TAKE YOUR CFL SIR, STRAIGHT UP OR TWEAKED ???

Much to my surprise and delight, I recieved an email from a bloke who has been known to tinker with the occasional bike or three and does a cracking blog by the name of "Applied Machete" . . . .

The note regarded my post about the El Forasteros and 'The History of the Chopper' from a few days back, Rich passed on some really cool details about the scoot he is featured riding in the intro to Jesse's doco. Yes, that's the handsome Irishman leaning against the wall then firin up the purple and white chop and riding off into the distance . . . .

As a lot of the hard core cognoscenti likely already know, the frame is one of the rare as hens teeth single downtube, spidey web gusseted, CFL frames produced by WCC back in the day, this one was done especially for the Shamrocker, Rich also said it was one of only three CFL's to have a Twin Cam fitted to it . . . .

Built in 2005 and incorporating many of Rich's custom touches Mr James clearly thought it was a you-beaut-scoot and decided to feature it and its creator in his upcoming doco. At this point, Jesse sent Jay Hodge out to Denver to pick up the bike, flew the Irish gent out to the City of Angels for the shoot, which the consumate showman/fabricator/builder/rider/writer nailed in one day, flew Rich back home then delivered the star of the show back to Denver.

Now, if that ain't a glowing endorsement for Irish Rich Custom Cycles and Shamrock Fabrication I don't know what the fuck is !!!! He's been around for yonks and has forgotten more about Harleys, chops, bobs, machining, wrenching, riding and the history thereof than most folk actually know. If you're not already following Applied Machete then get your act together and sort your shit out !!!

Irish Rich . . . Shamrockin in Denver Town, thanks for the info mate, too good !!
