Reckon you'd be hard pressed to find another musician who has the respect of such a diverse range of fellow industry mega dudes and dudettes as Mr Waits . . . . one of my great regrets in life is going to see him in the early eighties and getting so fucked up I missed the gig . . . . unforgivable and dumb behaviour on my part !!!!



He has been breaking new ground in the musical context since the early seventies and all the while on his terms, never taken a backwards step in the face of executives, producers, shmoozers and losers. His approach to his chosen craft is unique and totally committed, absolute self belief and dedication to the cause . . . . acting has allowed him an opportunity to extend his talents further, 'Down By Law' being one highlight of several celluloid efforts, if you haven't seen any of them, make the effort and check em out . . . . like I said, I love the guy, a world without Tom Waits would be a dull and dreary place, touch wood, that shit won't be happenin for a long time yet !!!
