I'm not sure how old he is but he ain't no spring chicken, point being is, he is still out there playing live, writing tunes and recording, I saw him about eight or so years ago at a blues festival and it was a stellar gig . . . . a real natural performer and story teller par excellence, so if you're ever given the opportunity, go and suck in some seriously salubrious, southern swamp style, 'Loosianna' never sounds so good as when Tony Joe White's steering the boat through the bayou . . . .
