YET ANOTHER FINE PIECE OF UNIT CONSTRUCTION EXCELLENCE FROM THE MILWAUKEE MOB . . . . THE FIRST OF THE LINE THAT WOULD ULTIMATELY TRANSMOGRIFY INTO THE SPORTSTER . . . . A WAY COOL, ORIGINAL SPEC, 1952 K MODEL ON THE RUN, BY "BARNTIQUE" ON POOTUBE.

I'm havin a ball skatin all over the PooTubieverse scrounging for good footage of some of the early incarnations of the K series hoglets, the little flatheads that could, and did, redefine the line of bikes coming from the land of the Bar and Shield . . . . and it doesn't come any earlier than the first model to be released back in 1952, the cornerstone on which a legend would be built, leading to the '57 XL Sportster, the longest running production model in the entire Hoggly range, I think, correct me if I'm wrong, by all means.

I'll agree that aesthetically they ain't everyone's cup of fifty weight, they have the slightly dorky look of an attempt to scale down the visual appeal of the big twins and not quite getting it totally right, the appearance was not as sharp as the Trumpy parallel twins especially, [but not much ever has been] against which it was competing . . . . still, they certainly had a character all of their own and one that kinda grows on you the older you get and when you see so many that have been fucked over in halfarsed chopper clown guise, the stock bikes start lookin even better, sorta cute fugly.

The bitchin black bomber featured in this video from 'Barntique' looks to be in not only brilliant visual nick, but moreover, judging by the hushed and restrained 'chuff-chuffing' of the baby flatthead, the mechanical side of things seem tight as a well tuned drum . . . . shoot, what's not to like ??? Yep, I'd only too happily have one of these parked in my garage without a second thought, I could be just like Mr Depp . . . . well, at least Hatchetface.
