I was gonna write this spiel about the general absence of the fairer sex in Chopland, at least the actual riding, building/wrenching part of the caper, I've posted one of ClairSkatesALot's vids before, a tasty little piece on BF3 actually, and had made the ignorant assumption 'he' was a 'she' . . . . then, just as I started to run off at the mouth for this post, as I do, I remembered Clair Chenault, the boss fella of the Flying Tigers back in WWII, fuuuucckkk, better do some background research on this one, don't wanna be trashing somebody's feelings . . . . as it turns out, Clair, who skates a lot, is a dude.
Well, it fucked my blurb angle in the arse but nevermind, the new angle is this . . . . it's great to see chicks gettin out there and doin it for themselves in more numbers than in the past in the world of choppers and custom scoots, I'm all over that shit like white on rice, go grrrls . . . . it's also really cool to see so many young dudes like Clair, who skates a lot btw, hittin it hard in the garages across planet earth and turning out real, honest, built to thrash bikes, and Clair, who skates a lot, and his post '75 rigid/springer Ironhead is a fucking first rate demonstration . . . . and his camera work is pretty neat as well, shithot in fact !!!
It does make a bit of a mockery of my rant from a while ago on all the bullshit 'patina-ing' caper of late but I reckon most of that is down to his use of legit, used and scrounged and hand fitted parts, it hasn't been hit with acid, salt water, diesel, sandblasting, dog turd or vomit . . . . like I said, just an honest chop built to ride and look cool doin it . . . . keep on skatin and ridin Clair . . . . lots !!!!
