i think you are being a little harsh about the o.c.c bike mate, NOT! fucking horrible, i didn't realise that it was hard to get a bike registered over in oz, i guess we are lucky over here, [for the time being], when i built the sporty chop i just bought an old paughco ironhead frame, an old four-speed evo sporty, mated them together and stuck the reg off the donor bike on the chop, cut the original frame up and dumped it and robert's your mother's brother! it's a bitch when they start with all that regulations malarkey, the european union is trying to bring in all sort's of anti-bike legislation in over here, similar to the german t.u.v. standard's which are well harsh, they can't even change a pair of handlebar's without them being t.u.v approved and then you have to have your bike checked at an official testing station to make sure they are fitted correctly, absolute bollocks! keep thinking whitey, keep thinking....... yo bro fro ano mo, the lovester.
ReplyDeleteYes Lovey, sadly it is, even moreso in Queensland, never used to be this way but the G-Men and the stooges have really clamped down over the last decade and, frankly Mr Shankley, I couldn't be fucked playing the game, it all comes down to dollars versus time, I don't have enough of the former and I'm runnin out of the latter . . . I gotta say though that the more I look at other examples of the same bolt on kit the more I'm liking it relative to what I envision the final concept to be, it's growing on me like a nasty case of the clap. Great article on Mr Smith son, that stunningly tough bike of his has attained legend status. Keep on mucking Lovester. XX
