DO I THINK TOO MUCH, DO OTHER PEOPLE SEE THE SAME SHIT AS I DO . . . . OR IS HISTORY JUST A RANDOM COLLECTION OF UNRELATED EVENTS . . . . ARE PHOTOS REMEMBERED ONLY FOR THEIR OWN SAKE AND NOT THE NARRATIVE EXISTING BEYOND THE PICTURE . . . . IS THE WORLD IN WHICH WE 'EXIST' SO PREOCCUPIED WITH INSTANT GRATIFICATION AND THE 'NOW' THAT DEDICATING TIME AND THOUGHT TO A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING SIMPLY DOESN'T FIT IN ??
"GREAT ART ALWAYS DELIVERS MORE THAN THE EYE AND THE EAR INITIALLY CONCEIVE"
Everyone's already seen this brilliantly shot little clip of Mr Schaaf for BF5, a bloke, a bike, a book and a beer . . . . and a town, a passion, a feeling, a connection, a sense of place and the history of the place, the splinters of your past that bury themselves so deep in your mind they are omni-present and constant companions, subliminal exclamation marks and reference points in your continuing journey through life . . . . stopping at a corner store to pick up a brew that triggers thoughts and memories so strong and crystalline that you can literally feel yourself tumbling through the fabric of the time/space continuum to a place you never were but always wanted to be . . . . or do I just over-think stuff ???
