AND THIS WAS THE SWEETEST LOOKING RIG OF THE DAY FOR ME . . . . THE '68 HK MONARO, HORNIEST, COOLEST, SEXIEST CAR EVER DESIGNED AND PRODUCED IN AUSTRALIA . . . . THE POPULAR AND PERIOD 'TASMAN' WHEELS, A KEYSTONE 'RADIR' STYLE KNOCKOFF, TOTALLY SEALS THE DEAL . . . . EVEN MINUS THE GTS LOUVRES IN THE GUARDS BEHIND THE WHEELS, IT'S ONE GORGEOUS, CURVACEOUSLY POWERFUL, PERFECTLY PROPORTIONED BIT OF KIT.

  1. As a typical self-indulgent Amërïkän I didn't know the Aussies ever produced autos.

Looks kind of like a Nova. Pretty cool.

  2. I'd love to have an Aussie car, just to mess with people's minds over here...a right hand drive one for sure.

  3. I just stumbled across this photo of my Monaro. I'm glad you like it :) some more info - painted in the late 80s, 307 Chev , 3 speed auto, Offenhauser manifold, Holley 4bbl, Ram-flo filter (stock filter won't fit under the bonnet) and duel dump pipe's behind the back wheel's. Cheer's

    1. Too good buddy, and like it I did, cheers muchos for the info on the model, the 307 is becoming like rocking horse doo doo these days, most people aren't aware that they were the first Chevy eight in the front of the HK. I hope you continue to enjoy the delights of the Munro . . . might see you at Lismore this time round.
