A FULLY RANDOM, UNCONNECTED POST BORNE OF A DISCUSSION I HAD WITH A BLOKE ABOUT GREAT PLANES OF WWII . . . . THE TEMPEST WAS A SERIOUSLY FLAWED DESIGN, LARGE BITS, LIKE THE ENTIRE TAILPLANE, FELL OFF UNDER BIG G'S . . . . ENTER THE UPGRADED, UPRATED 'TYPHOON' . . . . ONE TOUGH, FAST, DEVASTATING AEROPLANE, JUST ASK THE GERMANS.

  1. Great picture, where did you find it, personally I have a soft spot for the Gloucester Gladiator, a biplane in WWII.

    1. The old Gladdy mate, not quite as antiquated as the 'Stringbag' Swordfish, mind you, one did jag the hit on the Bismark's rudder which led to its ultimate demise . . . I'm just another militaria nutter, still have all my models and books etc.
