  1. cheers mr williams, must be one of the most iconic racebikes ever? how times change, back in 1981 when i bought my suzuki gs1000, the dealer i bought my bike off, had a ducati darmah lurking unloved and ignored at the back of the showroom, i can remember him offering it me for eight hundred quid after i showed interest in it, i decided to pay twice as much for the big suzi instead, when i traded the gs in for a new katana four years later the big darmah was still sat there, i always wonder what happened to that bike, the dealer is long gone now, i bet the darmah is still around in some guise even after all those years......?

  2. Pleasure treasure, funny the things we do, mind you mate, the Kats were the dog's bollocks, so in front of the game styling wise, bit unpredictable at the pointy end but wicked rides, loved the early wired spoked 1100's, hens teeth these days.

  3. dogster, i had the even rarer 1000s model, big mikuni carbs, homoligation model for the old british formula one series, i can honestly say i never saw a wire wheeled model over here bar some drag racers run by jack valentine and steve mellor, i think they were predominately oz/nz and yank, still, a very radical machine back in the day, as soon as i saw one i had to have one, brilliant.....

    1. You lucky sod, didn't they have the Yoshi kit installed as well . . . I think it was a UK, US, NZ and SA release, we never got them over here . . . the spokes looked so spot on with the glorious alloy rims, glad you're still with us to tell the tale Lovey, like the Kwaka triples, a lot found themselves in over their heads when it came to reading them properly in twisties.
