THIS IS THE EPITOME OF THE GOLDEN ERA OF AUTOMOTIVE DESIGN GENIUS, A MINDFUCK BLEND OF GORGEOUS LINES AND SEAT OF YOUR PANTS ENGINEERING . . . . AND PUNTING THESE MOSTLY OFFY POWERED THINGS AROUND THE BRICKYARD AT FULL BURN WAS FOR COMMITTED BIG BALLSERS ONLY

  1. Nice ride. I live about thirty miles due north of The Speedway and have been to the museum several times. I've always dug the front engine Indycars. I can't imagine going into those sharp barely-banked Indy corners at speed in such a narrow car. They sound just as cool as they look too.

    1. Wow Herm, totally envious. I used to spend so much time in the library as a kid in the late sixties and early seventies just drooling over these things . . . still do only now it's on this bloody thing.
