ey up mate, just been reading about the pistol's xmas day benefit gig for the striking fire brigade, apparently they turned up in huddersfield to do a benefit gig with a giant cake, rotten cut it up and shared it out with the firemen's kid's who decided to pelt the band with it instead of eating it! absolute brilliance, i turned up for the kings hall gig in derby but the local council decided that the good folk of derby couldn't be subjected to such 'filth', johhny thunders and the heartbreakers, the damned and a little known beat combo called the clash were also on the bill, i was so gutted i got hideously drunk in 'the jorrock's' and ended up picking a fight with some forest fan's who were in a similar state, cue daft, arm flailing and windmilling, lot's of shouting and swearing, a couple of bottles getting chucked and the landlord pasting us, oh yeah, and a long walk home in the cold rain with a bag of chips, anarchy in the uk, december 4th.1976,
