  1. In '65 the Stones played in Sacramento. I was about 13, Keith was about 21. I missed that one. Creedence Clearwater Revival was Known as the Golliwogs and played the Recreation center in the park of Rancho Cordova that year....missed that one too. I guess I was busy building models and doing my homework... A friend of mine, Tom Giles, was 14 and hanging out near the local liquor store when Keith Richards walked out.He said, 'Hey, your'e Keith Richards!' Keith said, 'You know who I am?' Tom said, Of course I know who you are. You got a new album out and your playing in Sacramento....and I've seen you on the Ed Sullivan show.' (or so the story goes...). Evidently the Stones were staying at a motel in Rancho Cordova....the Cordova Lodge. It was torn down recently and a Walgrens was built to replace it...
