"1974 XLH IRONHEAD" [BY 'TUCHIYAF' ON POOTUBE] . . . . SHORT AND SWEET, JUST LIKE THE BIKE . . . . I LOVE SIMPLICITY AND AN ABSENCE OF BULLSHIT DOODADDERY AND FRIPPERY . . . . I NEVER FIGURED THAT THE SKIRTSTER WAS ABOUT ANYTHING MORE THAN 'LESS' . . . . SOMETHING REALLY HONEST ABOUT THIS LITTLE CRITTER THAT GIVES ME A THRILL . . . . PERIOD CORRECT, PERHAPS . . . . TOTALLY COOL, YES.

Not a clue who 'Tuchiyaf' is but it came as no surprise to discover he hails from Japan, yes indeedly, where it's always seemed that the pursuit of 'perfect form' in all things is something of a national pastime, nothing better exemplifies this than the obsession with old bikes, particularly Harleys . . . . the '74 Ironhead in the vid totally does it for me, the alloy rims, the boardtracker style pipes, the way he's managed to get the brake on the front end and not have it looking completely out of place, the stance, the tank, bobbed rear fender . . . . and then there's the bloody glorious sound as he vanishes off into the distance . . . . pretty fucking perfect . . . . honest as the rays from the rising sun Tuchiyaf San.
