      Glad you're back on your hooves baby, had no idea you were that crook . . . been there and done that with the original Leadbelly version . . . have a little search on the net and read the background behind why he wrote the song way back when, really interesting stuff, stay healthy Mama, big love comin at ya !!!       Yeah, have seen Leadbelly's versions too. While looking up the original lyrics for that tune, came across a notation that 'Black Betty' is also what they called the whip in some southern prisons...
