"CALIFORNIA DESIGN 1930 - 1965 : LIVING IN A MODERN WAY" . . . . FOLLOWING ON FROM THE 'GOMA' FIELD TRIP OF THE WEEKEND . . . . LIZZIE AND I HEADED BACK TO BRIS VEGAS TO GET US SOME MORE CULCHA . . . . PRETTY FREAKIN AMAZING TOO, SHIT THAT CHANGED OUR WORLD.

  1. Cool exhibit. Always had a thing for the Avanti, still looks moderne. When my family moved back to California in '65 my dad drove us up the hill from the flatlands...to Eldorado Hills...a new and developing area. Sunset magazine had built a concept house there. Lots of glass...separate room/buildings connected with glass-walled hallways. Haven't thought about that house for years. Might take a trip up and see if it still exists.Have to google it, I suppose...Bruce Brown, yeah...nice exhibit. Thanks for posting.

  2. Let me just say that all that is my shit. Pretty much could and would live in a airstream trailer as long as I could park it next to my GIANT shop. I have that Chet Baker record and it is one of my Sunday morning chill out jam. Try it.

    1. One of my faves as well Anchorman, along with 'Kind of Blue' . . . when I'm on the road selling vino I stay in a refurbed Airstream in a town on the coast, it's always awesome.
