  2. Whiteline, good post. I was lucky enough to see these dudes in 91-92(dating myself too) when I lived in Wash, DC. It was the Hit Squad Tour: EPMD, Redman, K-Solo, Das EFX, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Pharcyde. Pharcyde was the opening act. Their first album had just come out, Ya Mama, Passin Me By. No one really knew who they were quite yet since they were the only west coast group on the bill. They blew people's minds. Great show. Great group. I wish they could've held it together.

    1. Thanks Masterlink, wow, what a lineup that gig was man, only familiar with EPMD and Redman as far as music goes, the others sadly are just names I can vaguely recall from mags etc, I could understand how folks minds would've warped, Passin Me By in particular was always special, kinda trippy and so different from what else was going on at the time. It was about that time I saw Fishbone for the first time out here and they really blew me away too . . . that period was a bit of a highwater mark in many ways for hip hop. Take it easy Funk Master, peace.
